Larry's Dulcimer wins 2nd place in Fine Woodworking's Scraptacular Contest
Larry is a guitar player, guitar maker, and songwriter. He was one of the founding members of the Blue Ridge Luthiers.
He finished his first guitar (nylon string) in April 2009. It was made entirely from wood leftover from other projects. The top is made from cedar strips leftover from building a canoe. His second guitar was another nylon string guitar made for his good friend, Andy Groome. It's got a spruce top and rosewood back and sides.
Larry is also a member of the Southwest Virginia Songwriters Association
