Introducing the "Bookbag Santa" and "Guitars for Vets" Guitars
We've been working on these 2 instruments, as a group, for over 2 years. Gary Hunt from Bookbag Santa (BBS), and David Bowen from Guitars for Vets (G4V), helped us arrange a gig at the 3rd Street Coffeehouse in Roanoke, VA to showcase these instruments before we handed them over to their respecitve charities.
Gary Hunt (BBS) and Beth Woodward (G4V) introduced their organizations to the packed house. Also present were a number of G4V participants and interns, and BRL members who did not perform.
Blue Ridge Luthier members Tom Pafford, Frank Riner, Jack Gellerstedt, Woody McKenzie, Patrick Geoghegan, Robbie Dummitt, Dennis McKim, and Larry Sakayama performed along with BRL friends Tim Pafford, Ceryna Riner, Mike DeGiorgi, Mike Franke, Greg Trafidlo, Marc Baskind, and G4V music therapist intern Julianna Meares.
Many thanks to the 3rd Street Coffeehouse, and Bob Schmucker and Aspen Black for being such fine hosts and ensuring that the audience and performers were well taken care of.
